Join us for the very first Post retreat — ‘Post in the City 08’. We will be going to Nashville May 16-18 for a weekend of dynamic worship, challenging teaching, and an opportunity to serve. This year's guest speaker will be Matthew Paul Turner, author of The Coffeehouse Gospel and The Christian Culture Survival Guide. On Saturday, we will spend most of the day partnering with Against the Grain ministry, who helps disadvantaged children and single mothers become self-supporting, involved members of society. We will help repair and clean the homes of many single mothers, as well as provide a cookout in the park for the women and their children. There will also be plenty of time to hang out, since we are staying at the Holiday Inn in the heart of downtown Nashville. This weekend will be a great opportunity for you to meet new people, deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ and get connected to the Post ministry at Southeast Christian Church.

The disciples spent 3 years with Jesus and were completely transformed. The book of Acts describes them as "ordinary". But these ordinary followers of Jesus became world changers. If we travel with them on their journey of discipleship and meet the people they met, hear the stories they heard, and witness the miracles they witnessed; maybe we can leave behind the ordinary and discover the life we were created to live.

As a community, our deepest desire is to become more than a worship service or a weekly gathering of people. Our hope is that we become a community that is completely committed to posting the road signs of God at every curve and corner of our lives. We are a community in motion; we are not confined by the walls of a church building. Instead, we are defined by our ability to tell the story of God through the way we live, move, and love within our places of influence on a daily basis.
