Local Service Opportunities
Jefferson Street Baptist Center - a ministry in Louisville that exists to make Jesus Christ known to the homeless by meeting physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs. There are many opportunities to get involved. Contact Monica Brown at , or 502-253-8005. jeffersonstreet.org
Endeavor Ministries - a ministry in Louisville serving over 2,000 displaced Somali Bantu refugees. Christ is made known through numerous event and service opportunities including festivals and clothing drives.
The Post - Be a part of the Lead Team at the Post by helping on Tuesday nights during the service, planning an event, leading a small group, coordinating a service project, playing in the band, as well as many other opportunities. Contact Amy at , or 502-253-8509 for more info.
International Service Opportunities - Mission Trips
Kenya - In July, 2009, we headed to Kenya and joined up with Life in Abundance (LIA) in their efforts of empowering indigenous churches to evangelize their communities whiles meeting basic needs. The team was involved in work projects and home visits among other things. The Lord blessed this trip abundantly in both those who were served and those serving.
Central Asia / Poland - In 2008, the Post also went to Central Asia and Poland. Visit the Central Asia and Poland blogs to read about their trips.
